Many years ago, I had the opportunity to meet Lance at a Super Stock race along with his mother
and the rest of the crew.  I was not only welcomed with opened arms, but seemed to have found an instant friend.
In the next few years, I decided to build a Super Stock boat after Lance invited me to come race
with the Super Stock Racing Series.  Although it was an unfamiliar design to the norm, Lance helped
me on a number of occasions with advice on what part to run and where to find it.
From the time that I met Lance, he has set multiple records, won multiple championships,
expanded to different classes, but remained the same great guy and helpful friend.
Whether it was showing me around his house, and his toys in Provo, or chatting at the races,
his class act continued right along with his competitive winning desire.

This last weekend, I was deciding on which event to attend over the Thanksgiving weekend.
I decided to test out my new drag race car in Phoenix rather than hit the river with my boat.
During the weekend, Lance was involved in an unfortunate accident that took his life.
Although there is probably nothing that I could have done, I really wish I would have been at
The boat race on the river to be with my friend one last time.

Lance will be remembered by everyone as the fearless competitor in the Canary Yellow hot rod.
He will be remembered as a great, honest, and caring man.  A great husband and father.
A friend to all, even those to whom the competition level was the highest.
But most of all, he will be remembered as a winner- in racing, but more than that- In Life!

Thanks for the memories buddy!
